A life-size anime cutout brings character artwork into a physical space as a large printed display. An anime standee has support so it can stand upright. Before ordering, plan the finished height, the width of the pose, and the space needed by the support. Those measurements make the difference between an attractive display and a cutout that does not fit where you intended.
The current standard Anime Cutout listings describe designs up to 6 feet tall. Larger designs can involve additional handling or shipping charges. Ask for the exact finished dimensions and current quote for your artwork; a product reference does not fix the size of every custom order.
Measure height, width, and support clearance
Start with the position where your anime character standee will be displayed. Measure from the floor to the usable height, then check the space beside and behind it. A large accessory, an extended arm, or a wide outfit can make the finished silhouette wider than expected.
- Height: account for shelving, sloped ceilings, light fittings, and any raised platform beneath the standee.
- Width: measure the complete pose, including hair, clothing, speech bubbles, and accessories.
- Depth: leave space for the support and ask how much clearance the finished display needs.
- Access: check the doorway, stairs, vehicle, and route used to move the cutout into position.
If the display is for a party or event, share the proposed layout during artwork review. Keep walking routes clear and confirm how the cutout will be supported in its intended setting. Do not assume that a board or support is suitable for outdoor conditions.
Character height and printed height are different choices
You can request a display based on the character’s apparent scale or simply a size that suits your room. Explain which approach you want. A seated pose, an angled figure, or a design with an accessory above the character’s head can make the overall printed height different from a standing character’s body height.
Ask which points define the final measurement. The agreed dimensions should refer to the complete cutout outline, including any added text or decorative element. The existing product terms include size rounding and additional charges for larger designs, so confirm the measurement and total together.
Once a full image is scaled to a chosen height, its width follows the proportions of the artwork. If that width will not fit, discuss another pose, a different height, or a layout adjustment before approving the proof. Avoid stretching the artwork merely to fit a space, because that can distort the character.
Prepare artwork for a large anime standee
Use the clearest original image you can supply, preferably with the complete pose visible. Enlarging a small picture can expose blurry edges, compression marks, and missing detail. Artwork preparation may help suitable images, but the result depends on the source. Review the proposed print proof before agreeing to production.
Check the head, hands, feet, clothing, and accessories for accidental crops. Tell us which outline details matter most and whether a name, message, or dialogue should be included. Use artwork you own or have permission to reproduce. The shop’s character pictures are references for custom orders.
For additional file and proof guidance, read the anime cutout artwork and ordering guide. Compare the questions to ask about cardboard, foam core, and PVC materials before choosing a construction.
Plan delivery and moving the finished cutout
Large displays need a practical transport plan. Confirm whether your order will be folded, the proposed folding locations, and the shipping format available for your destination. Non-foldable delivery has additional charges in the current product terms. Ask for the complete quote before checkout.
Tell Anime Cutout the date you need the display, along with the delivery destination. Production follows artwork approval, and the current estimate should be confirmed directly. Leave room in your schedule to receive and inspect the package before using the standee at an event.
